From such decadence and architecture the main part of the Reichstag was an old elegant buildings dating back to the 18th Century

– it couldn’t be more different to the holocaust momerial – (our next stop) an architectural memorial art with huge grey blocks made of concrete – all the
same width but
different heights. It was a simulation of the people who had died in the holocaust.

The feel of blocks larger and smaller with only natural light coming through and the rain beginning to spit and surrounding cars – the memorial was nothing but silent and peaceful. The element of silence and sombre filled the air. It was not just blocks of concrete – it was defiantly something much more and something personal.
